Waggle Tagz by Mama Owl

Waggle Tagz is a little mock laminating kit that allows your child to decorate and personalise their own I.D. tags to go on bags, pencil cases or perhaps to give to a friend as a little token gift. Harrison and Erica gave this a try with me, Erica wanted to make her own tag with the guinea pig design because she thought the glasses & lipstick image was hilarious, and Harry liked the crazy cat design.

You have to un-peel the sticky plastic on one side and load it in to the machine, along with your chosen printed image. Then turn the handle clockwise to laminate your tag, before popping it on to a strap and attaching it to your bag. We did find that it jammed several times, and after a few unsuccessful attempts with one tag we just stuck it together ourselves without using the machine.

The kit contains several large and small cards along with a sheet of stickers and the instructions to accompany the machine and straps to attach to the tags. I think it is a good concept and will definitely appeal to little crafty types, but the ‘machine’ is somewhat temperamental and after a while we just stopped using it and made them by hand because it was easier. It is priced at £19.99 and recommended for ages 6+ and available now from Toys R Us.
